Relativistic Astrophysics

The course follows mainly the textbook by Straumann: General Relativity (2nd edition, 2013) and covers applications of general relativity to astrophysics.

Contents: Schwarzschild solution and classical tests of General Relativity, weak gravitational fields, the post-Newtonian approximation, mass measurements of  binary pulsars,  tests of general relativity with the double pulsar
