Personal (Private)

As you may have guessed, I love sailing and reading, best done at the same time. This is  what I should have really done in life.  I have recently done some Atlantic cruising, which is both challenging and rewarding. Some examples are an Atlantic crossing with Amethyst 3 (Canary islands Caribbean) in the winter of 2017, or an Atlantic transfer with Alea from France (Concarneau) to Spain (La Coruna) in the summer of 2018.
“Eraora”  is my little sailing boat. It is a Hunter 606 (18ft) built in 1983 and bought in 2007, where I try (!) to spend my time on weekends around Potsdam’s lakes, mostly alone because “everybody” is too busy..
“Viola”, is instead a Ducati Monster 620ie built in 2005. She is admittedly an “old” lady but is in great shape and has a low deep voice. I like her a lot and use it as much as possible in Frankfurt.
“Everybody” is Carolin, AnnA, EmiliA and Dominik (aka Mik). This is young trio some time ago and this is what you get once they grow…

Below is instead a photo of a sunrise in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean during a crossing in November 2017. It was a terrific sunrise and it followed a very rough and stormy night in which we were knocked down. As the saying goes, there is sunshine after the storm…
