<\/a>I am a theoretical physicist and astrophysicist doing research at the\u00a0Frankfurt Institute for Advanced Studies<\/a> (FIAS) located at the campus of\u00a0Goethe-University in Frankfurt am Main<\/a>. I am also a Professor at the University of Wroc\u0142aw<\/a>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

My research over the past few years has concentrated on the following topics:<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 Physics of compact stars.<\/strong> Effects of hyperonization and Delta-resonances on the static and dynamic properties of compact stars. Leptonic transport in hot neutron stars’ crusts in strong magnetic fields, modeling of their cooling in the case of exotic (hyperonic or quark) cores, and structure (mass, radius) in the presence of first-order phase transitions. Roles of axions and bounds on their parameters from the cooling of compact stars.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 Effective models of QCD at finite temperature and density<\/strong>, transport coefficients (conductivities, shear and bulk viscosities) of quark-gluon plasma in regimes relevant to RHIC and LHC, as well as in color superconducting cores of neutron stars. General formulations of second-order hydrodynamics from a Kubo-Zubarev type (non-equilibrium statistical operator) formalism.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 Pairing, condensation, and clustering in nuclear systems<\/strong>, including the effects of isospin asymmetry and strong magnetic fields. Phase diagram of imbalanced systems in general, critical points, collective modes, and thermodynamics.<\/span><\/p>\n
