Currently I am a Ph.D. student in the group of

Dr. Jürgen Schaffner-Bielich.

My research interests are:

- Compact stars in the framework of general relativity
- Chiral models for ultradense matter
- Symmetries and phase transitions in QCD
- Thermal field theory

A calculation to combine the SU(2) Quark-Meson-Model and the 2PI formalism to an unified approach within the framework of renormalized thermal field theory has been finished recently and awaits publication. Currently I am working on hybrid- and quark stars in a SU(3)-flavoured Quark-Meson-Model which also includes the fermion vacuum term. The combination of the SU(3) Quark Meson model with the 2PI formalism and expansion to finite temperatures is then planned afterwards.

This model then enables us to study Supernovae equation of state and compact star merger, i.e. sources of gravitational wave emission.
